The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE) and Sika Vietnam

On January 7, 2021, at NUCE taken place the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE) and Sika Vietnam Co., Ltd. to promote educational training, research and implementation in construction and industry in Vietnam.

On the side of Sika Vietnam Company Limited, there were Mr. Jacobo Perez Polaino – General Director; Mr. Pham Huy Cuong - Sales Director. On the side of the NUCE, there was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung – Head of International Cooperation Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Tuan - Vice Dean of Faculty of Civil and Industrial Construction; Dr. Hoang Vinh Long – Dean of Faculty of Building Materials; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Van Viet Thien An - Vice Dean of Faculty of Building Materials; Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Lam – Vice Dean of Faculty of Building Materials.

NUCE has always been stressing on building the relationship between the University and enterprises. It exposes students to various practical working environments, which in turn, students take the opportunity to hone their skills and gain more working experience, addressed by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang. Giang also expressed his total agreement on cooperation and highly supported much of the bonding between NUCE and Sika Company.

On behalf of Sika Company, Mr. Jacobo Perez Polaino – General Director, expressed his great jubilation and appreciated the cooperation between the two parties. Mr. Jacobo Perez Polaino also introduced more about Sika, a subsidiary of the Swiss Sika AG Group, which specializes in manufacturing and supplying products and material solutions for construction and industrial applications. Accordingly, Sika pin hopes on bringing practical values ​​to students and the University of Civil Engineering.

Both sides have come to a cooperation agreement under which Sika will sponsor scientific research projects on construction materials of NUCE according to the annual plan and provide students favorable conditions to intern at the enterprise as well as construction sites. Additionally, scholarships and student recruitment also are also included within the framework of the agreement. The University prioritizes and facilitates the application of Sika products to scientific research, technological innovation as well as scientific projects that NUCE participates in.

In response to the next level in cooperation, the two sides expect to promote further cooperation programs and common projects with an aim to meet social needs in the context of globalization.
