On June 21, 2022, at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, Prof. Dominique LAFFLY - Attaché for Scientific and University Cooperation of the French Embassy in Vietnam visited and worked with the University. At the reception, on the side of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Head of International Relations Department; Dr. Tran Dinh Trong - Deputy Head of Faculty of Bridges and Roads; Dr. Tong Ngoc Tu - Head of High-Quality Engineer Education and Management Department (PFIEV) and full-time staff.

The two sides reviewed the available cooperation activities such as High - Quality Engineer Education Program (PFIEV), the scholarship programs of the French Embassy, the scholarship program of the French Government for students of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. At the same time, the two sides discussed more about new cooperation opportunities such as doctoral training under the Project on Capacity Building of lecturers and managers of higher education institutions to meet the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive renovation of education and training in the period of 2019-2030 approved in Decision 89/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister (hereinafter referred to as Project 89). In particular, the two sides discussed cooperation opportunities in the near future within the framework of the ERASMUS+ Program (Capacity building of universities).
