Faculty of Building and Industrial Construction

The Faculty was established on March 6th, 1956 as one of the first four faculties of Hanoi University of Science and Technology. The vigorous growth of the Faculty resulted in the establishment of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, upon the decision of Council of Ministers on August 8th 1966. The Faculty was named Faculty of Civil and Industrial Construction. Currently the Faculty has the largest number of ungergraduate students, postgraduate students and PhD students within the University. With 130 lecturers, including 8 professors, 18 associate professors, 32 PhD holders and 80 Master’s degree holders, the Faculty remains a top faculty in terms of the activities of teaching, scientific research and application of science and technology to practice.

The Faculty has developed partnerships in training and scientific research with leading universities in the CIS (former Soviet Union), China, France, USA, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH). Several alumni of the Faculty are successful in their career pathways, holding top positions in the state systems and enterprises.
