The Institute of Science and Technology in Electro-Mechanical Engineering is an independent unit under the umbrella of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. The Institute has its own legal status, private seal and separate account in Vietnam dong and foreign currency as prescribed by law. The predecessor of the institute was the Construction Electro-Mechanical Center established by the Decision No. 47/QD - TCCB dated January 8th, 1990, which was converted into the Institute of Science and Technology in Electro-Mechanical Engineering under the Decision No. 8886/QD-BGGDT dated December 21st, 2009. The Institute is home to teaching staff of the Faculty of Construction Mechanics and collaborators in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to carry out scientific research activities and services, which are a bridge between the school and the university in the application of research results to real-life production. The Institute undertake projects across the country.

In the past years, the Institute of Science and Technology in Electro-Mechanical Engineering has provided a variety of  services, designed and transferred technology of a large number of high-quality projects, which have been well appreciated by customers; Successfully implemented many projects for the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Transport, etc.

With a wealth of experience accumulated over the years, a team of competent managers, experts, technical staff are well trained, and become mature through a long time of consultation and design, training and so on. The Institute of Science and Technology in Electro-Mechanical Engineering is confident that it will meet all

Consulting on the design and manufacture of machines and equipment for construction and industry;

Mechanical design and installation of construction works;

Consulting on the design and construction of electromechanical systems in the construction works;

Inspection of the quality of machinery and supplies in mechanical and electrical sectors;

Other fields related to mechanics, electricity, machinery and construction equipment etc.
