Along with the development of National University of Civil Engineering, the Faculty of Economics and Construction Management was early established. In 1963, the first students in Construction Economics were enrolled for training organization. In 1969, the Faculty of Construction Economics was founded. Since then, the Faculty has been constantly developing the career of education and training at both undergraduate and graduate levels with a variety of training sectors and providing the society with thousands of engineers of Construction Economics with adequate professional knowledge and skills to work in the Construction sector and contribute to the development of the country.Teaching staff Faculty of Construction Economics and Management
Currently, the Faculty of Economics and Construction Management is among the top faculties that attract the large number of students, graduate students and fellows at National University of Civil Engineering. The annual number of enrolled students of the Faculty of Economics and Construction Management is about 650 out of 3000 students of the University. The annual number of graduate students of the Faculty of Economics and Construction Management is about 300 where 150 graduate students are trained at National University of Civil Engineering and the remaining are trained via the association links with other educational establishments such as Can Tho University and Ha Tinh University.
The Faculty of Economics and Construction Management offers full-time students with 02 sectors including Construction Economics and Construction Management as follows:
1. Construction Economics
2. Construction Management
- Major in Economics and Urban Management
- Major in Economics and Real Estate Management
From the academic year of 2015-2016, the Faculty has opened an additional class of English Economic Construction (KTE). Joining this class not only offers students a chance to acquire expertise on Construction Economics but also develop skills and improve their English proficiency so that they may have opportunity to study in countries with advanced education in the world.
In addition, the Faculty has opened the class on Real Estate Investment and Business Management – Program of international cooperation and join training between National University of Civil Engineering and Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU) granting second degree by MGSU.
For postgraduate education level, the Faculty of Economics and Construction Management is currently offering training courses on Master of Construction Management with 03 majors including Construction Economics, Construction Project Management and Urban Management, and PhD of Construction Management.
