Faculty of Construction Economics and Management

Along with the development of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, the Faculty of Construction Economics and Management was established in the early days. In 1963, the first students in Construction Economics were enrolled for training purpose. In 1969, the Faculty of Construction Economics was founded. Since then, the Faculty has been constantly developing the career of education and training at both undergraduate and graduate levels, with a variety of training sectors and providing the society with thousands of engineers of Construction Economics with adequate professional knowledge and skills to work in the building sector and contribute to the development of the country.

Currently, the Faculty of Construction Economics and Construction Management is placed among the top faculties that annually attract a large number of students, postgraduate students and PhD candidates at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. The annual number of enrolled students of the Faculty of Construction Economics and Management is about 650 out of 3,000 students of the University.  The annual number of postgraduate students registering for the Faculty of Construction Economics and Management is about 300 where 150 are enrolled at National University of Civil Engineering and the remaining study for joint programs with other institutions, such as Can Tho University and Ha Tinh University.

From the academic year 2015-2016, the Faculty has opened one more class of excellence in Construction Economic taught in English (KTE). Joining this class does not only offer students an opportunity to acquire expertise on Construction Economics, but also develop skills and improve their English proficiency so that they may have opportunity to study in developed countries with advanced education in the world.

In addition, the Faculty has opened the class on Real Estate Investment and Business Management – Program of international cooperation and join training between National University of Civil Engineering and Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU). The second degree will be conferred upon by MGSU.

For postgraduate level, the Faculty of Construction Economics and Management is currently offering training courses on Master of Construction Management with 03 majors, including Construction Economics, Construction Project Management and Urban Management, and PhD of Construction Management.
