The Faculty of Architecture and Planning was established in 1967.

The Faculty of Architecture and Planning is always at the forefront for innovation in training, broadening local and international cooperation and developing extra-curricular activities for the students.

- Towards international graduation standards

Towards international graduation standards and innovations in the curricula of the Faculty in CDIO (Conceive – Design – Implement – Operate) concept/roadmap, the Faculty of Architecture and Planning started to enroll students for classes of excellence taught in English language (2009) and French language (2011) with advanced programs where architecture is combined with a high level of foreign language skills.

- Broadening International Cooperation

Strengthening and broadening cooperation with relevant international universities and organizations is always emphasized by the Faculty of Architecture and Planning. The Faculty has established a network of strategic partners for training, scientific research, exchange of lecturers and students, etc. in Asia (Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, etc.), Europe and America (France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Canada, etc.). The lectures and presentations given by world-renowned architects, the international workshops on training and large international design studios are more frequently organized at the Faculty. The lecturers and students of the Faculty regularly go abroad to attend international conferences, participate in international competitions and are awarded top prizes. Thereby, the qualification of lecturers and students has been improved and the position of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning has been constantly enhanced in the region.

- Putting theory into practice and fostering a strong link with enterprises

Furthermore, the Faculty of Architecture and Planning is constantly expanding cooperation with local design consultants and construction firms to establish a network of strategic partners who always accompany the Faculty in training and development.
