Faculty of Architecture and Planning was established in 1967.

Faculty of Architecture and Planning is always the forefront in innovations in training, expansion of local and international cooperation and extra-curricular activities of the students.

- Towards International outcome standards

Towards international outcome standards and innovations in the curriculum of the Faculty in the approach of CDIO (Conceive – Design – Implement – Operate), the Faculty of Architecture and Planning is the forefront in establishing English (2008) and French (2010) classes of architects with advanced training programs, especially for plans of joining architecture and foreign languages.

- Expansion of International Cooperation

The expansion of cooperation with relevant international universities and organizations is always the first concern of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning. The Faculty has established a network of strategic partners for training, scientific research, exchange of lecturers and students, etc. in Asia (Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, etc.), Europe and America (France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Canada, etc.). The talks by world-renowned architects, the international workshop on training and international design studios of large size have been being held at the Faculty more frequently. The lecturers and students of the Faculty have regularly been sent to attend the international conferences, participate in international competitions and achieved top prizes. Thereby, the qualification of lecturers and students has been improved and the position of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning has been increasingly advanced in the international region.

- Associating “study” with “practice” and linking with enterprises

Besides, the Faculty of Architecture and Planning is constantly expanding cooperation with local design consultants and construction firms to establish a network of strategic partners who always go along with the Faculty during the process of training and development.
