Students of Faculty of Bridge and Roads Engineering

The division of Bridge and Road Engineering started its training course in September 1956 and was among the first three divisions of the Faculty of Construction at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. In the Department of Bridge and Road Engineering, the Division of Engineering (Concrete, Steel, Wood, Bridge and Road) and the Division of Soil Mechanics were established in 1959.

The Faculty of Bridge and Road Engineering is among the first six faculties to establish Hanoi University of Civil Engineering in 1966. The first Dean of the Faculty was Mr. Dang Huu, the first lecturer of the Faculty to be appointed Professor in 1980 by the State and Academician by the Academy of Transport Science of the Russian Federation in 1993.
