On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Yoon Hak Soo, President of KOSCA, thanked the University for its hospitality and extended congratulations to Hanoi University of Civil Engineering on its 60th anniversary and 70th anniversary of training (1956-2026). The KOSCA President affirmed his desire to continue working alongside Hanoi University of Civil Engineering in concretizing the cooperation contents agreed upon in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on April 2nd, 2026.

Mr. Yoon Hak Soo, President of KOSCA Association, spoke at the meeting.

Based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in April 2026, the two sides focused on exchanging key cooperation directions, including developing training programs to meet the needs of Korean businesses; enhancing practical training, internships, and real-world experiences in Korea; promoting the establishment of a Sejong Language Center at HUCE; and fostering connections between students and learning and employment opportunities in the construction sector.

Representatives from both sides exchanged views on areas of cooperation.

The establishment of the Korean Language Center is expected to create a structured foreign language learning environment right at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, helping students improve their Korean language skills, access the culture, and prepare the necessary tools for studying and working in Korea. In addition, summer courses in Korea will open up opportunities for students to experience the educational environment, culture, and practical aspects of their chosen profession, enhance international exchange, and get closer to the Korean labor market.

The experiential learning locations are oriented towards high-tech projects such as urban rail systems, high-speed rail, underground transportation projects, and large-scale infrastructure projects. Through this activity, students not only expand their professional knowledge but also have the opportunity to observe firsthand, learn about technology, construction organization methods, and the professional working environment in South Korea.

In addition to the two points above, the two sides also focused on discussing the development of specialized training programs to meet the needs of Korean businesses; strengthening practical training and internships at construction sites; combining Korean language training with specialized knowledge and occupational safety skills; and developing programs to support students in accessing employment opportunities at Korean construction companies.

Based on the discussions, the Rector assigned the Department of External Relations and International Cooperation to take the lead in developing a project proposal, coordinating with relevant units and Korean partners to concretize the cooperation contents, propose a roadmap, and organize implementation, ensuring practicality, effectiveness, and sustainability.

This is also a concrete step in the orientation of strengthening international cooperation, linking training with the needs of society and businesses, contributing to improving the quality of human resources and the position of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering in the context of integration.

Mr. Yoon Hak Soo, President of KOSCA, presented flowers to congratulate the University on the occasion of its 60th anniversary.

Representatives from both sides pose for a commemorative photo.
