On September 15, 2026, at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE), the University and Global Production Services Joint Stock Company held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on research and application of technology for recycling construction solid waste, excavated soil, sludge, and developing sustainable construction materials.
Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang – Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Luong – Head of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering; Dr. Le Manh Cuong – Deputy Head of the Faculty of Construction Materials; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Phuong – Head of the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation; and Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung – Head of the Department of External Relations and International Cooperation. On behalf of Global Production Services Joint Stock Company were Mr. Do Van Toan – Chairman of the Board of Directors, along with representatives from various departments and divisions.

Overview of the signing ceremony
At the ceremony, the two sides discussed the direction of cooperation and the potential for connecting the university's research and training capabilities with the practical experience and application conditions of businesses.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, representatives from both sides emphasized the need to strengthen the connection between universities and businesses, bringing scientific research results closer to practical production and urban development requirements. The signing of the MOU serves as a basis for both sides to further concretize cooperation programs and tasks in the future.

Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang – Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, delivered a speech at the signing ceremony.
According to the signed agreement, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering and Global Production Services Joint Stock Company will collaborate on researching, perfecting, and applying technologies related to the recycling of construction solid waste, excavated soil, and sludge, aiming to recover and efficiently utilize resources, reduce landfilling, and minimize environmental impact.


Representatives from both sides proceeded to sign the memorandum of understanding.
Both sides also agreed to promote pilot activities, testing, technology demonstrations, and field application assessments. Based on research and testing results, suitable solutions will be further refined, evaluated, and considered for scaling up according to practical needs and current regulations. In particular, both sides aim to apply databases, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital tools in managing waste sources, volume, processing, quality, and traceability of recycled materials. Through this, they will gradually research comprehensive solutions for receiving and recycling networks, balancing material supply, improving the environment, drainage, and sustainable urban infrastructure development. The cooperation focuses on practical problems related to waste management, efficient resource utilization, drainage, and urban infrastructure development, contributing to the promotion of a circular economy model in the construction sector.
In addition to research and application activities, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering and Global Production Services Joint Stock Company will cooperate in training, professional development, expert exchange, and creating opportunities for students, trainees, and researchers to access practical experience; and jointly propose scientific and technological tasks, organize seminars, and share research results.
