On the afternoon of June 17, 2022, Faculty of International Training (FIE), Center for International Cooperation in Training and Consulting (ICCEC), Vietnam-Japan Institute of Advanced Technology (VJIAT) together with representatives of universities in The United Kingdom, Australia, the United States and Bao Son Group held a Workshop to introduce training cooperation programs for the academic year 2022 - 2023 (also known as HUCE Connection Day 2022).
Attending the Workshop, on the side of universities and partner units, there were Ms. Nguyen Thu Huyen - Representative of the University of Huddersfield (United Kingdom) in Vietnam; Mr. Le Minh Tu - Deputy Director of New Pathway Study Abroad Consulting Company, Mr. Ho Dinh Viet - Project Manager, Mr. Nguyen Huu Long - Head of Sales Department, Mr. Luu Duc Thang - General Director of BS Catering - Bao Son Group;
In particular, this year, there was also the online participation of representatives of international schools such as Ms. Nguyen Viet Thuy Trang - Senior Partnership Officer, Deakin University (Australia) in Vietnam; Ms. Sherry Zhang - Head of Admissions Department, Victoria University (Australia); Mr. Christopher R. Biehl - Deputy Director of the Office of Global Engagement, University of Illinois Chicago (USA).
On the side of NUCE, there were representatives from the International Cooperation Department, Faculty of Bridge and Road, Information Technology, Economics & Construction Management, Architecture & Planning, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering; leaders and experts of the Faculty of International Studies and the ICCEC Center, VJIAT Institute and a large number of students who are interested in the programs.
This year, on top of the success of the workshop, it also has the involvement of all representatives of international partner schools. Current "hot" undergraduate credit transfer programs with the University of Huddersfield, Deakin University and Victoria University, as well as master’s degree programs with National Taiwan University, and HTWK Leipzig University – Germany were introduced to all online and offline attendees. Some programs that have not been introduced before such as the master’s Program with the University of Illinois Chicago (1 year) or a short-term work program in Australia (6 months - 1 year) were also launched.
This is a short-term internship program in Australia in collaboration with Bao Son Group - a multi-field business group in Vietnam. Hanoi University of Civil Engineering has signed a cooperation agreement with Bao Son Group in 2021 to open up opportunities to work abroad for its students. Thereby, it can be seen that the efforts of the faculties, departments, units and staff of HUCE in cooperative activities in education and training aiming to open up further opportunities to study and work overseas are more varied.
Dr. Ta Quynh Hoa - Dean of Faculty of International Studies - Director of ICCEC delivered the opening speech of the Conference
Having attended the seminar, scholars not only gained a lot of information about international cooperation programs but also directly exchanged with representatives of universities and received great advice, as well as many interesting rewards.
The journey of studying and working in socially and technically advanced countries seems to be right in front of our students. It takes one step closer for HUCE’s scholars to achieve either bachelor’s degrees or master's degrees from prestigious international universities.
Wish you all soon fulfill your dream of studying abroad!
