On May 18, 2022, at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) took place the MOU signing ceremony among KONIA Co., Ltd (KONIA), Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE), HUCE Consulting Co., Ltd. (CCU), Vietnam - Japan Construction Consulting Co., Ltd (VJEC). Also, the Ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of Tekla authorized training centers (under the control of Trimble) was held on the same day.

Attending the ceremony were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang – Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering; Mr. Phung Dong Khoi – General Director of KONIA; Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thao – Sales Director of KONIA; Ms. Do Linh An – Product Manager TEKLA Trimble, KONIA; Prof. Dr. Phan Quang Minh – Director of CCU; Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Chairman of VJEC Advisory Council.

Overview of the signing ceremony

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang highly appreciated Trimble's TEKLA Structures software. Lecturers and students at the University will be supported and educated in the knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) as well as skills in using TEKLA Structures software, thereby increasing job opportunities for students postgraduation. The Vice Director committed that HUCE will accompany and support KONIA in activities aiming at connecting students with the enterprise.

HUCE is the first tertiary institution in Vietnam to have an Authorized Training Center of TEKLA, as stated by Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thao - Sales Director of KONIA. At the same time, she expressed her honor to build a cooperative relationship with the HUCE down the line and believed that the cooperation will set the scene for further success and development for the accompanying units.

All parties have signed a cooperation agreement with the common goal of supporting and improving BIM knowledge and skills in using TEKLA software for lecturers, students, and production workers of the university; Building and developing TEKLA Authorized Training Center. As per the signed agreement, parties will jointly organize TEKLA-related seminars, short-term training courses, internships, and research, and connect students of HUCE to suitable partnership companies.

After the parties had signed the cooperation agreement, the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the TEKLA Structures Software Authorization Training Center was held at the Central Office - 1st Floor, Library House, HUCE. (Address: No. 55 Giai Phong street, Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi.)
