MOU signing ceremony between HUCE and Bolloré Logistics Vietnam

On April 12, 2022, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) and Bolloré Logistics Vietnam Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote training and technology transfer activities for lecturers and students of Logistics and Supply Chain Management of HUCE under the connection and support of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization ASSIST.

Attending the signing ceremony, on the side of the guests, there were Mr. Aru David - Regional Director, Autonomous Non-profit Organization ASSIST; Mr. Ta Tuyen - Director of Hanoi branch, Bolloré Logistics Vietnam Company. On the side of HUCE, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Anh - Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Phuong Lam – Vice Dean of Faculty of Water Engineering; Dr. Mai Sy Hung – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Water Engineering; Dr. Vu Quoc Hung - Head of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Deputy Director of Port Institute; MSc. Nghiem Ha Tan – Deputy Head of International Cooperation Department; Assoc. Prof.Dr. Dang Thanh Huyen - Vice Dean of Faculty of International Education.

The two sides exchanged cooperation contents

ASSIST is an autonomous non-profit organization following the model of public-private partnership. This organization also functions as a bridge and a stimulating factor for the private development of civilized society, aiming at building valuable cooperation, and promoting passion and dedication contributed to the sustainable development of society. The goal of the project is to improve the domestic transportation industry by applying the standards of Quality, Health & Safety and Environment Management systems to small and medium logistics enterprises in HCMC and Hanoi, shared by Mr. Aru David – regional director of ASSIST.

In response to the sharing, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Anh highly appreciated the capacity of Bolloré Logistics Vietnam Company and thanked the organization for its support and connection. This cooperation is one of the pivotal strategies in the training development of HUCE, the Vice Director expressed. Training model associated with practical application and enterprises is a common trend that Vietnam universities apply for global integration purposes. MOU contract signed will be a great first step for the cooperation and development of both parties. He committed to facilitating the best conditions for the implementation of the contents mentioned the agreement.

On the side of Bolloré Logistics Vietnam, Mr. Ta Tuyen introduced and shared about the company's development history and strategic action in recent times. The Director emphasized promoting training activities and technology transfer for Logistics training institutions, enhancing soft skills training for students, creating learning and working opportunities for students, and helping students get access to high-paid job opportunities in professional working environments.

The two sides signed a cooperation agreement

The MOU contract was signed with the agreement of both parties. Accordingly, HUCE agreed to cooperate as an academic partner of Bolloré in the project "Improving the application of Quality, Health & Safety and Environment Management System for small and medium domestic logistics enterprises. In detail, Bolloré experts develop training courses on Quality, Health & Safety and Environment Management Systems based on ISO international standards to update practical knowledge in industry operations, and logistics to enrich lectures in universities. This training and technology transfer will be carried out in 02 parts:

 - Part 1: Improving the quality of training for lecturers for logistics training tertiary institutions (Applying the Training method for receptors)

 - Part 2: Supplementing knowledge for students majoring in Logistics or related disciplines at tertiary institutions.
