In the morning of September 15, 2020, the opening ceremony of the Office of the State Professorship Council of Civil Engineering and Architecture took place at the Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (NUCE).

Attending the ceremony was: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Anh Tuan - Chief of Office of the State Council of Professorship; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa - Rector of NUCE; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Vice Rector of NUCE; members of the State Professorship Council in Civil Engineering and Architecture; Professors and Associate Professors from NUCE Council; leaders representing departments of NUCE and a number of experts.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Viet Anh, Chairman of the State Professorship Council of Civil Engineering and Architecture said that the Professorship Council in Civil Engineering and Architecture is one of the 28 specialized Councils that perform the tasks evaluating the records, advice the State Council of Professorship, especially candidates in the field of construction and architecture. This is important task not only for the education and training sector but also to contribute human resources to the construction and architecture. The Office of the State Professorship Council of Civil Engineering and Architecture located at the NUCE, one of the largest educational and training institutions in the country. This is an advantage for the Council to cooperate closely with the experienced lecturers and scientists of NUCE. At the same time, the Council also cooperates with other institutions in the construction and architecture, putting hands in development of the construction industry of the country.

At the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Anh Tuan, Chief of Office of State Council of Professorship highly appreciated the efforts that NUCE has brought to the Professorship Council of Civil Engineering and Architecture with a spacious facility while the NUCE does not have many abundant conditions. Among 28 specialized councils, the Council of Professorship in Civil Engineering and Architecture is the second Council having its own office. From here on, the Council has more conditions to fulfill its duty.

At the event, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Duy Hoa, Rector of NUCE, emphasized that NUCE is honored to have 3 lecturers from its staff selected as the Council members, and is more honored when the Council has selected location for the Office establishment here. The NUCE pledges to create best facilities for the Council to work and to complete successfully the tasks assigned by the State Council of Professorship.

The ceremony was ended successfully in the excited atmosphere of the participants.
