The signing ceremony of comprehensive cooperation agreement between HUCE and Central Construction JSC & Seminar on “Challenges and opportunity for reaching to the peak”

On April 20, 2022, at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) took place the signing ceremony of the comprehensive cooperation agreement between HUCE and Central Construction JSC & Bilingual seminar of XE and XF classes on “Challenges and opportunity for reaching to the peak”.

Attending the ceremony, on the side of CENTRAL Company, there were Mr. Tran Dang Khoa - Head of Hanoi Representative Office; Mr. Trinh Quy – M&E Project Manager; Mr. Nguyen Thai Ha – Construction Project Manager; Mr. Nguyen Ba Chuyen – Structural Design Manager; Mr. Nguyen Nhat Trieu – Head of Recruitment Department. On the side of NUCE, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thanh Tung - Dean of Faculty of Civil and Industrial Construction; Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Tu - Vice Dean of Faculty of Civil Engineering & Technology; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Tuan - Vice Dean of Faculty of Civil Engineering and Technology; MSc. Nghiem Ha Tan - Deputy Head of International Cooperation Department and all teachers and students of XE and XF bilingual classes.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang highly appreciated the capacity of CENTRAL Construction Company, which is a huge brand in the construction market. Many students of HUCE were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to intern and become full-time staff in Central company, many of whom are holding key positions. The cooperation between NUCE and CENTRAL is one of the important activities to promote training, scientific research and technology transfer of the University. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang believed that the signing of this cooperation agreement will set the scene for further cooperation and development of both sides and committed that the University will always create the best conditions for the implementation of the contents written in the agreement.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Tran Dang Khoa – Chief Representative of the Hanoi Office representing CENTRAL shared: “At CENTRAL, there are many levels of management, many staffs have grown up since the cradle of HUCE, accounting for a significant proportion of the company's personnel. This manifests attention and investment in the training quality of the Board of Directors, and involvement of both teachers and students with enthusiasm in the teaching and determination to "practice virtues – make progress" of HUCE generations. A school of outstanding and skillful engineers has been introduced to the market thanks to HUCE. Mr. Khoa expressed his honor to build a cooperative relationship with the University down the line and believed that the cooperation will open up much success and development for both units.

The two sides signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement. Accordingly, the two sides further enhance exchanges and cooperation via Central Internship programs such as Central Scholarship; Central Talent Fund; Experience with Central, and Accompany with Central. This win-win collaboration creates opportunities for students to meet businesses and are likely to get job opportunities after graduation.

Sharing at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thanh Tung - Dean of Faculty of Civil and Industrial Construction thanked CENTRAL Company. For the past several years, HUCE in general as well as The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Technology in particular has always been centralizing on developing a training model that connects schools with businesses, in order to build training programs associated with practical needs, provide training to meet the needs of society. Several MOUs have been signed resulting in great success. Hundreds of students have been accepted for internships and employment at large companies every year. Numerous valuable scholarships have been awarded to students. In addition, annual career orientation sessions are held to help students make wise choices when entering the labor market.

To set off the cooperation, CENTRAL JSC awarded 5 scholarships worth 25 million VND in total to 05 excellent students of XE division of the academic year 2020-2021.

Following the signing ceremony was the XE, XF bilingual exchange seminar with the theme " Challenges and opportunity for reaching the peak". At the seminar, leaders of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Technology also introduced the training programs of each discipline and field of study. Also, scientific research activities, scholarship programs, and internship programs, study abroad opportunities, international joint training programs, and job opportunities were mentioned to help students better comprehend their study program, thereby drawing learning methods as well as making decisions and direction for the future to suit each individual.
