In line with the plan to promote digital transformation and the application of information technology in university administration, on October 21, 2026, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering organized the "Training Conference on the Use of KPI Assignment Software and Implementation of KPI Assignment for the 2026-2027 Academic Year".

Attending and directing the Conference were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tung - Rector of the University; members of the Working Group on KPI development; consulting experts; and a large number of managers from level 2 units and heads of specialized groups.

The implementation and evaluation of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is identified as one of the school's key tasks for the new academic year. This is not only a powerful tool for optimizing operational efficiency but also a transparent basis for assessing task completion levels, serving as a basis for evaluating performance among staff and employees. Recognizing this importance, the school leadership has paid special attention to and closely supervised the improvement of the task assignment and KPI evaluation system.

Overview of the Conference

Within the framework of the Conference, Dr. Hoang Nam Thang - Director of the Information Technology and Database Center - directly guided managers on the detailed process and operation of the KPI task assignment software. According to the delegates' assessment, after a year of practical implementation and continuous improvement, the current software system has made significant progress, providing a more flexible experience and better meeting the specific tasks of each functional unit.

Dr. Hoang Nam Thang provided guidance on using KPI calculation software at the conference.

During the exchange and discussion session, several delegates offered suggestions and proposals to the Software Development Working Group for further improvement and upgrading of the software. These suggestions, stemming directly from the users' perspectives, were constructive and closely aligned with reality. Associate Professor Hoang Tung, Dr. Hoang Nam Thang, and other KPI experts answered the delegates' questions. The expert group accepted the proposed improvements and upgrades and will update the system as soon as possible.

Delegates exchange views at the Conference

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tung - Rector of the University - requested that the leaders of the units promptly and seriously implement the assignment and evaluation of KPIs. The effective and substantive application of KPIs will be a crucial leverage to improve the quality and efficiency of work, ensuring the excellent completion of assigned tasks and contributing to the overall development of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering in the new phase.
