On April 25, 2021, the National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE) solemnly held a ceremony to award Doctorate and Master degrees to 19 new PhDs and 662 new Masters of all graduate courses in 2020 and 2021.
Attending the ceremony, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Anh – Vice-Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang – Vice-Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tung – Vice-Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Binh Ha – Dean of Graduate School; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Nhu Khai – Former Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Dung - Former Vice-Rector and representatives of leaders of Faculties, Departments as well as MSc, Ph.D. instructors, teachings of the after-graduation training program. Especially, there was also the presence of 19 new PhDs, 662 new MScs, together with their families and relatives.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa - Rector of NUCE congratulated and thanked new PhDs and Masters for their companions with their university during the period of study and research. Hoa pins high hope that the new PhDs and MScs will broaden the accumulated knowledge and keep up the school spirit in an attempt to develop their career paths progressively. Simultaneously their contribution to their workplaces may help boost the school’s prestige. The president also highly acknowledged and appreciated teachers for their enthusiasm and dedication to teaching, instructing research, managing the learning process contributing to the success of the after-graduation training program.

Subsequently, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Binh Ha - Dean of Graduate School announced the decision to recognize Doctorates and Masters and administered the “Graduation Cap” ceremony for 19 new PhDs and 662 new Masters. Simultaneously, Ha also rewarded 147 new MSc with excellent academic records.

On behalf of the novel Masters and Ph.D. graduates, Doctor Pham Thi Trang, majoring in Construction Management, lecturer at the University of Da Nang, shared her pride in efforts to accomplish her MA thesis 6 months deadline in advance with enormous difficulties. Trang expressed her great gratitude to the BODs, teachers, and officials of NUCE for their support in the process of studying and researching at school. She promised to continue to promote the traditional values of NUCE, bring all theories into practice creatively in order to meet the progressively high demand of the society, which deserves a NUCE grad.

NUCE has always been promoting activities to improve the quality of education and meet the needs of society. Over the last period, with persistent efforts and many innovations in the management process, the number of Ph.D. students successfully protecting the thesis has increased significantly. Many Ph.D. students defended on time and ahead of time, directly participated in scientific research projects, published many international and national scientific articles, contributing to improving the training quality and ranking of NUCE. Up to now, the school has trained over 220 PhDs and over 7100 MScs, which has been making a significant contribution to the development of the country.
