HANOI UNIVERSITY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING SIGNS COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH ENTERPRISE, OPENS PFIEV STUDENTS' PROJECT EXHIBITION AND GRADUATION THESIS DEFENSE CEREMONY

On June 13, 2025, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pontech Joint Stock Company, in conjunction with the opening of the Project Exhibition poster and Graduation thesis defense Ceremony for students of the PFIEV engineering program.

Comprehensive Cooperation Commitment between HUCE and Pontech

The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of French partner universities, experts from enterprises, as well as lecturers and students of the PFIEV program.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding, Pontech Joint Stock Company commits to a long-term partnership with Hanoi University of Civil Engineering in the fields of education and human resource development. The cooperation focuses on the following key areas:

  • Joint training of excellent engineers (PFIEV) aligned with practical industry demands;
  • Collaboration in research and the application of advanced engineering technologies;
  • Recruitment and support for the development of young human resources from the PFIEV.

Notably, as part of the signing ceremony, Pontech awarded a scholarship package worth 200 million VND to PFIEV students with the highest entrance exam scores and students with the best academic performance in the five years of study. The company’s representative expressed the hope that this support would serve as a practical source of encouragement for students to continue striving in their academic pursuits and professional development.

Graduation Project Exhibition and Thesis Defense Ceremony: A Milestone in the PFIEV Student Journey

Also taking place within the same event was the “Project Exhibition poster and Graduation thesis defense Ceremony for PFIEV K65,” organized for the first time by the Excellent Engineers Training Program. The event served to recognize the achievements and research of students after five years of rigorous training at HUCE.

Dr. Tong Ngoc Tu - Head of the Department of High-Quality Engineering Education, HUCE, delivered a speech and officially declared the opening of the graduation defense session for Cohort 65 of the High-Quality Engineering Program (65KSCLC), and introduced the PFIEV program’s thesis defense committees

Mr. Thibaut Skrzypek - Spokesperson of the Consortium of French Partner Institutions, delivered a speech at the event

The exhibition showcased posters of graduation projects from four specialties: Transportation Infrastructure, Urban Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, and Building Materials. The posters on display clearly demonstrate the students’ technical skills, creativity, and practical problem-solving abilities - These are core values emphasized throughout the PFIEV training program.

A Vision for Sustainable Development and Global Integration

In the context of globalization, this event has clearly affirmed the training model that closely connects universities, students, and businesses, while also contributing to advancing the PFIEV program further on its path of international integration—equipping young engineers who are ready to enter both the domestic and international labor markets.
