At the end of January 2023, Webometrics Organization has just announced the results of ranking the universities according to the composite indicator of Google Scholar profiles (Top Universities by Citations in Top Google Scholar profiles). This is also one of three indicators of the Webometrics University Rankings, which will announce the results in February, 2023.
Webometrics is a worldwide university ranking based on an online, big data analytics platform, established in 2004, published twice a year in February and July.
The Google Scholar Citations (GSC) ranking is based on the profiles of scientists of global higher education institutions that are publicly published on the Google Scholar system. GSC extracted 310 best individual profiles of each higher education institution, excluding 30 records from 1 to 30 to ensure representativeness, avoid outliers. This publication period is based on data collected from 1st to 20th of January, 2023. The results of more than 5000 schools with a total score of over 1000 are included in the list published by the Webometrics Organization.

The rankings for January 2023 recorded that Vietnam had 36 universities with a total score of over 1000, of which the highest ranking belonged to Vietnam National University, Hanoi. This result shows the progress of higher education in the country, compared to July 2021, Vietnam had only 25 universities.

With this ranking, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering achieved a total score of 14333, ranking 14/184 higher education institutions in the country and 2554/30000 in the world, compared to the July 2022 statistics (23rd domestically, 3662 internationally, with a total score of 5418). The University's ranking in this ranking announcement of Webometrics shows the development of our university's international publication, as well as marks the return of the University due to the impact of the School changing its domain name from nuce.edu.vn to huce.edu.vn
