On November 17, 2022, at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering took place the Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony between Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) and GREE Air Conditioning Co., Ltd. and the inauguration of HUCE-GREE practical training center.

Attending the program, from GREE Vietnam Co., Ltd., there were Mr. Owen Lee - Deputy General Director of GREE Group; Mr. Yang Wen Bin - Chairman of the Board of Directors of GREE Vietnam; Mr. Huynh Phuoc Cuong - Deputy General Director; Mr. Le Quan Dat – Director of Marketing Department; Mr. Cai Xin Hong – Director of Technical Department. On the guest side, there were Mr. Nguyen Huu Dung - Chairman of Vietnam Built Environment Association; Dr. Ta Quang Ngoc - President of Vietnam Association of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Science and Technology, Former Minister, Ministry of Fisheries. On the side of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa – Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang – Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung – Head of International Cooperation Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Viet Nga - Dean of Faculty of Environmental Engineering and representatives of leaders of Faculties, Institutes, Divisions and Departments; experts, projects members and students of Environmental Engineering departments at HUCE.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa - Rector of the University said that the current requirements of society and the labor market are demanding higher and higher qualifications for engineers, especially engineers working in the construction industry. Therefore, the signing of cooperation agreement with GREE Vietnam Co., Ltd is also one of the strategies in training development of the University. It helps develop a training model associated with scientific research, technology transfer, and integrate training with practical application. This is a common trend that universities in Vietnam are applying and moving towards global integration. That “HUCE-GREE Practical Training Center” was inaugurated and put into use will contribute to improving the capacity of laboratories, serving teaching and scientific research activities in the field of ventilation and air conditioning. At the same time, it will enhance the cohesive relation between theory and practice for students majoring in Engineering Systems in the works. Hoa believes that along with the meaningful activities of this project, there will be more projects of the two units in the future. It also will focus on the development of an academic and research environment that contributes to improving professionalism and positions of the two units.

HUCE-GREE Practical training center is fully equipped with a range of air conditioning equipment and the most complete intelligent software application system in the field of refrigeration today, including a full range of gas systems, Chiller system, hardware and software equipment of intelligent management system, smart electricity billing system, centralized control management system, BMS control management system. Lecturers can implement a wide range of teaching and research activities on refrigeration and HVAC technology such as teaching and presenting the principles of gas system refrigeration; cooling principle of water cooling system; advanced refrigeration process and technology, environmental protection and energy-saving air conditioning; air handling system, smart electricity billing software management system, intelligent centralized control management system, BMS management system; construction and installation of air conditioners; maintenance of air conditionerS, etc. At the same time, it is possible to conduct testing and research on air conditioners in the field of energy saving and environmental protection.
