The Journal of Science and Technology in Civil Engineering of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering has been recognized as part of the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI).
The Journal of Construction Science and Technology of the University of Civil Engineering operates under License No. 320/GP-BTTTT dated February 27, 2012, and the amended license No. 299/GP-BTTTT dated June 6, 2016, issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications. According to Official Letter No. 76/BTTTT-CBC dated January 12, 2018, from the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Journal of Construction Science and Technology publishes 8 issues annually, including 5 in Vietnamese and 3 in English. The journal has p-ISSN 1859-2996 and e-ISSN 2734-9268 for the English issues; and p-ISSN 2615-9058 and e-ISSN 2734-9489 for the Vietnamese issues.
The project "Improving the Quality of the Journal of Construction Science and Technology to International Standards" was approved by the Ministry of Education and Training under Decision No. 2841/QD-BGDĐT dated August 6, 2018, with an implementation period from August 2018 to July 2021 (within 3 years) and requiring the English-language journal to be recognized within the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI). To effectively implement the project, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering issued Decision No. 818/QD-DHXD dated June 27, 2018, establishing the Office of the Journal of Construction Science and Technology with the goal of directly carrying out journal work and ensuring the requirements for specialization and independence in scientific journal operations.
With the determination and correct direction of the University, the Journal of Science and Technology in Civil Engineering has gradually affirmed its position and prestige both domestically and in Southeast Asia in the field of construction. The English-language journal (Journal of Science and Technology in Civil Engineering – STCE Journal) was recognized as a prestigious national journal according to Decision No. 151/QD-HDQL-NAFOSTED dated August 9, 2019. Subsequently, the English-language journal was recognized as part of the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) on April 30, 2020 (after nearly two years of project implementation). The Journal of Science and Technology in Civil Engineering is the 15th Vietnamese journal to be recognized by the ACI system and is also the only Vietnamese journal on the field of construction to be included in the ACI. According to the scoring regulations for scientific journals of the State Council of Professors, each article published in the Journal of Science and Technology in Civil Engineering will be awarded a maximum of 1.25 points.
With its established position in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, the Journal of Construction Science and Technology is continuously improving to meet international standards, aiming to join the Scopus and ESCI citation systems. Journal of Science and Technology in Civil Engineering under National University of Civil Engineering has been included in ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) Journal of Science and Technology in Civil Engineering (STCE Journal) under National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE) operates under License No. 320/GP-BTTTT signed on 27 February 2012 and License No. 299/GP-BTTTT issued on 6 June 2016 by the Ministry of Information and Communications. According to Official Dispatch No. 76/BTTTT-CBC dated on 12 January 2018 of the Ministry of Information and Communications, the STCE Journal is permitted to publish 8 issues yearly, of which 3 issues are in English with p-ISSN 1859-2996 and e-ISSN 2734-9268 and 5 issues in Vietnamese with p-ISSN 2615-9058 and e-ISSN 2734-9489. Project “Improving quality of Journal of Science and Technology in Civil Engineering following international standards” has been approved by the Ministry of Education and Training under Decision No. 2841/QD-BGDDT signed on 06 August 2018 with effect from August 2018 to July 2021 (3-year project), requiring the English version of the STCE Journal must be included in ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) before the completion date. To implement the project effectively, on June 27, 2018, the National University of Civil Engineering issued Decision No. 818/QD-DHXD on the establishment of the Office of the STCE Journal with the aim of directly implementing all works related to journal activities and ensuring specialization as well as independence in scientific journal activities. With high enthusiasm for the work, the STCE Journal has gradually grown y affirmed its position and prestige in the field of civil engineering not only in Vietnam but also in Southeast Asia. The Journal of Science and Technology in Civil Engineering has been recognized as a prestigious national journal under Decision No. 151/QD-HDQL-NAFOSTED since 9 August 2019 and has been indexed in ACI since 30 April 2020 (just nearly two years after the project start date). At that moment, the STCE journal was the 15 th journal in Vietnam included in ACI database and it was the only journal specialized in the field of civil engineering. After being included in ACI database, all articles published in the STCE Journal will be evaluated to be 1.25 points at maximum for each article as shown in the scoring rule for scientific journals of the State Council for Professorship. With the results achieved in Vietnam, the Journal of Science and Technology in Civil Engineering is continuing to improve its quality and citation index to meet international standards, further aiming to be indexed in SCOPUS and ESCI database. Therefore, the STCE Journal looks forward to receiving qualified manuscripts not only in Vietnam but in over the world.
