On April 18, 2023, the delegation of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) had a visiting and working session at IMT Mines Ales, France. On the partner school side, there were Prof. Assia TRIA - Principal; Prof. Eric VIVIEN - Head of International Cooperation Department; Prof. Gwenn Le SAOUT - Lead Researcher on Sustainable Materials and Structures.

The delegation of HUCE led by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Vice Rector as the leader of the delegation, together with Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Thanh Tung - Dean of Faculty of Civil Engineering and Technology, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Linh - Head of Organization and Personnel Department, Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Head of International Cooperation Department and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Manh Hung - Deputy Head of Department of Structural Mechanics.

HUCE delegation visited and worked at IMT Mines Ales, France

ITM Mines Ales is one of the 10 engineering schools (Ecole d'ingenieur) with the longest history of establishment in France. The year 2023 is the school's 180th anniversary year.

The two sides discussed their strengths in training and research, especially in the fields of engineering and technology, as well as discussing the extension of the cooperation agreement between the two universities. Leaders of the two universities agreed to continue promoting cooperative training activities, exchanging students and lecturers within the framework of bilateral cooperation programs, academic exchanges, and promoting cooperation in scientific research and technology transfer.

Some other activities of the delegation

On April 21, 2023, continuing the European business trip, the delegation of HUCE visited and worked at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, UACEG in Bulgaria. On the partner school side, there were the presence of Prof. Ivan Markov - Principal; Prof. Stoyo Todorov - Vice Principal; and Prof. Borislav Belev. Joining the delegation of HUCE were Prof. Dr. Phan Quang Minh - Former Vice Rector of HUCE, who is currently work at here.

The HUCE delegation visited and worked at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, UACEG, Bulgaria. 

The two sides discussed their strengths in training and research, especially in the fields of engineering and technology, as well as the signing of an extensive cooperation agreement between the two universities through Project 89 of the Government on the implementation of training at master's and doctoral levels for lecturers of educational institutions.

On this occasion, in order to recognize the outstanding contributions of Prof. Phan Quang Minh in scientific and technological research as well as in connection and cooperation between the two countries Bulgaria - Vietnam, UACEG solemnly held the Ceremony to award an Honorary Doctorate to Prof. Minh. At the ceremony, Prof. Phan Quang Minh presented the keynote: “EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON PERVIOUS CONCRETE USING CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION WASTE IN VIETNAM”.
