On the morning of April 20, 2021, the University of Civil Engineering (NUCE) held the Launching Ceremony of the Construction and Architecture club.

Attending the ceremony, on the side of Vietnam Association of Universities and Colleges, there were Associate professor Tran Xuan Nhi - Vice President of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Vietnam - Former Deputy Minister of Education and Training, representative leaders of departments of the association. On the side of NUCE, there was Associate professor Pham Duy Hoa - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector, and representatives of affiliated units attending the ceremony.

Overview of the ceremony

At the beginning of the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of NUCE said that it is the honor of NUCE to be chosen as the venue for the opening ceremony of the Club and the university will accompany the club right from the start. The Construction - Architecture Training Club was established to share ideas and solutions, support other schools in creating better development. The club might face some difficulties at first but with the support of the Association as well as the enthusiastic response of all the members in the Architecture-Construction family, Hoa believes that the club will have diverse activities and brings about positive results. On behalf of NUCE, he promised to actively contribute and share in all activities of the club.

Assoc. Prof. Tran Xuan Nhi, Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Universities and Colleges affirmed: “Up to now, the Vietnam Association of Universities and Colleges has established 22 clubs and in the second term, more clubs are expected to open in different sectors. For the architecture and construction sector, universities take this advantage to connect, support each other, promote professional and training activities, scientific research, etc. the Association will always listen and support the suggestions, accompany the club in every work.”

At the ceremony, Mr. Pham Ngoc Lan - Head of School Club Support Committee announced to establish the Club. Assoc. Prof. Tran Xuan Nhi decided to establish the Club and the decision to appoint the provisional President of the Club. The Construction and Architecture Training Club decided to appoint Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa as the provisional President of the Club.

The meeting also agreed to elect the Club's Board of Directors for the first term, consisting of 17 members: NUCE, Central University of Civil Engineering, Western Civil Engineering University, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, and University of Science and Technology. Hanoi University of Transport, University of Transport Technology, University of Technology (Hanoi National University), Nguyen Tat Thanh University, University of Business - Technology, University of Water Resources, University Da Nang Polytechnic, Ho Chi Minh City Polytechnic University, Ho Chi Minh City Open University; Hanoi University of Architecture, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture; Vietnam - Japan University and Construction Publishing House.

Also at the ceremony, the member schools of the Construction - Architecture Training Club discussed and planned their activities in the first term.
